The study was conducted to identify the factors influencing customers' “tip” behaviour at the Restaurant Department of Caravelle Saigon Hotel. The quantitative research method involved collecting data from 307 valid customer surveys completed by customers who had experienced the restaurant’s service. The data were screened and analysed using SPSS 27.0 and SmartPLS-SEM. The results show that service quality, social compliance, responsiveness, and personalisation directly affect customer satisfaction, which, in turn, influences tipping decisions. Based on these findings, the study proposes managerial implications and directions for future research.
